Ok, so I have a little mouse friend. I've seen him probably 3 times, run along the edge of the back porch. He's awfully fast, so I wasn't sure what he was the first few times. But last night, he had to slow down a bit to get by a boot, & sure enough, a tiny gray mouse. Before you ask, no, I didn't freak out, I live in critter country now, I'm getting used to it. Now snakes? That's another story. Hmm, I may have to blog that one later...
But I digress. I came in the house & told Brett & the boys that I'd seen said mouse. Ryan yells,"I wanna see the mouse!" I told him he'd run off to hide, he's hiding. Ryan says, "He's hiding? Wif his mama? And sisters?" Yes, I suppose so. "Wif his Dada? He's hiding wif his Dada?" So I guess the real question is, how many are there??? I may need to call the Exterminator....
Later, Luke comes to find me because he had a nightmare. Now there's no way he was sleeping, mind you. He hadn't been in bed long enough. I've explained several times that you have to actually BE asleep to have a nightmare, but it just doesn't seem to sink in. He asks, "what can I do Mama?" So we do the usual, talk about the nightmare & think of good things to think about while he falls asleep. I say, "You know what happens tomorrow?" to which he responds, "Yes, it's Reese's birthday party. But that's what I was dreamin bout, & somewhere in there it turned into one kid got hurt."
