well jacob has started 1st grade & absolutely LOVES it! i'm sooo happy with where we are with him right now. walking out of meet the teacher night the other night, i started tearing up. his teacher is like a sweet grandmother who immediately took him under her wing. then last week at his literacy assessment, she was just amazing with him. i can tell by the looks he makes & his pink cheeks that he really, really likes her. he won't talk much, he does that when he's uncomfortable, but to her he did. he's the happier right now than i have seen him in a long time.
luke started back to mother's day out today & was very excited to be in Pre-K this year. he wanted to take his blanket to school this morning & i told him that this was Pre-K & he said "Oh, Ok. then i don't want to take it." as we walked out to the car he said, "so am i bigger now?" then when i picked him up, he just talked & talked in the back seat. "it was just more fun than i've ever had." - "i'm 40lbs, did you now that? that what my teacher said, & that what Nathan said." -"we're all 4 & we're all 40lbs." after we got home, he was wanting things, to which the answer was no, & he was upset. i said, "i thought you were having a good day?" to which he replied, "well i'm not here!" then he wanted to give Jack Jack a treat. i said no, you don't just give him treats for no reason. so he went over & told Jack Jack to rollover. of course Jack Jack just looked at him. i told him he had to teach Jack Jack what rollover meant."oh, ok, come here Jack Jack." he goes into the living room & starts rolling around the floor, showing Jack Jack what "rollover" meant.
ryan is definitely 2 now. he runs around pointing & "talking". he seems to be somewhat shy with his talking, he seems to not want an audience. he went back to mother's day out as well, & they said he was great. no suprise there.
so all is well in the leedy house, happy to be back to school.
