25 Random Things

This is something that I did on Facebook, so I thought I'd post it here for those of you not on there.

1. Being a mom is the most difficult & wonderful thing I've ever done.
2. My 8 yr old son had a stroke in utero. We found out it was a stroke when he was 6 mo old. He is an amazing little boy, who has taught me more about life than anyone I have ever met. I have a feeling he will continue to teach me more than I will ever teach him.
3. #2 made me tear up....
4. I sometimes think my 5yr old is the actual glue that holds this family together, he's so caring & smart.
5. My 2yr old is the happiest child I have ever met, his smile truly lights up a room.
6. I'm obsessed with my kids. (As if that wasn't obvious.)
7. I know #6 makes some people gag a little bit... whatev... :)
8. I LOVE red wine.
9. I plan on starting my Master's degree in the Fall.
10. I want to go back to teaching sooner rather than later. Whether I have my Master's or not.
11. I have been a SAHM for over 7 yrs now, I'm a bit burnt out, but want to wait until Ryan is at least 4 before I go back to work full time.
12. My husband would seriously give me the world if I asked for it. I have to remind myself how lucky I am to have someone who loves me so deeply.
13. I feel as though I used to be so laid back, but now I'm always a basket case about something rediculous.
14. I've recently started running & I truly enjoy it. (Maybe I should run more, that might take care of #13...)
15. I do all the books for our business. Sometimes this feels like the only thing keeping my brain from going to mush.
16. I love that my husband & I both graduated from UT. We enjoy Texas football together, or anything Texas for that matter.
17. We'd love to retire in the Hill Country one day. 1000 acres, a log cabin, & maybe some longhorn would be a dream come true for us.
18. Brett bought me a hand gun last year that I have yet to shoot. We never made it to the deer lease as a family, so I could shoot it.
19. I broke my arm on a 4 wheeler last year, that sucked. I had surgery & now have a metal plate & I don't even remember how many screws in my arm. Now I really suck at bowling...
20. I like cooler weather like we're having. I get cranky in July & Aug when it's a million degrees for days on end.
21. I started a new book last night. It's a psychological thriller, a new kind of book for me. I think I like it.
22. I need to quit buying magazines, cuz I don't read them, but don't want to throw them away. 23. I had a dream with Tony Romo in it last night. Nothing crazy, but how random is that?
24. I'm sick of everybody around me being sick.
25. I have to go take the sick one, & pick up the little one, & wait for the big one to get home... that's my life! :)
