Zig to my Zag

So plenty going on around the Leedy Casa. Took a ski trip to Angel Fire, NM over Spring Break. Our friend Grant and his two sweet girls went with us. We had a blast. We put the kids in ski school the first day and Brett and Grant pushed me to my limits. Don't worry, that's not far at all when it comes to my skiing abilities, lol. The second day, they took the two older ones, Luke (8) and Ryan Grace (12), up the mountain and skiid (is that how you spell that??) greens and blues. I spent my day happily going up and down the bunny hill with the younger ones, Ryan Dean (5) and Kennedy (7). Quite relaxing and peaceful, and I finally feel like I made some headway on skiing. I finally got out of what I call my "panic wedge" and found the "zig to my zag". Might not sound like much, but when you finally get on skiis and for the first time, you do not have anxiety coursing through your body from head to toe, and don't have every single muscle in action at all times so as not to fall, this, to me, was a big deal. We are planning to go back in Dec.
Jacob is taking the STAAR writing today and tomorrow, so details later. Hopefully he just relaxes and does his best. That's all we can ask for. His writing has come a long way this year, so we're crossing our fingers.
Luke's baseball team is now undefeated, and he's having a blast. He also added to the Tadpole family this weekend. We have a new polywog named "Wiggler". Thaddeous is starting to grow legs too, so maybe soon we'll have a full on frog. Luke takes great care of both, even printing up his own chart to keep track of their feedings. He found some weird slime on his aquarium last night, so he went to Google and read up on what to do. Is it just me, or is this child just brilliant?? Heehee.
Ryan rocked his soccer game as usual. We asked him before if he was going to play well and he said, "Ya, 9 goals." Again, confidence is not an issue. I believe he did score at least 7.... we do wonder what will happen as he gets older and there is actually more competition for him, lol.
