finally

Well it looks like everyone is finally well. Poor Ryan had it an entire week! I was laughing earlier because I realized that you know you are parents when you call your husband & you both get very happy about your 2 yr old's solid poop. I think Brett even said "Yeeeah!" Seriously. Mama was literally about to loose her mind, so it's a very good thing that everyone is back to normal. Jacob called last Tues "the worst Tuesday ever." I thought R was better by Sat, but on Sun we took a drive to the Caddo-LBJ Grasslands. They're up around Decatur, TX. Brett found an article about them, saw that there was Quail hunting, & that was our family outing for the day. As soon as we get to the "lake", which was more like a fising pond & it was 1/2 dried up, Ryan threw up all over himself & the seat. I pulled him & his carseat out & cleaned everything up the best I could with Brett's flannel shirt & wipies. I had to take Ryan's clothes off, so he was running around in just his jacket, a diaper, & socks & shoes. With his skinny little toothpick legs, it was actually amusing. Then on the drive home, we couldn't give him his blanket, or as he calls it "wanket", because he'd thrown up on it, so he pretty much cried the whole way home. Fun family outing....

So yesterday, Amber & I met at a Burger King. Not because we like the food, but because we needed to get out of the house & we're both a bit sick of McD's & Chik-Fil-A. I mean really, a mom can only take so much. So in the play area, there were a bunch of bigger kids. They were all over the place, making tons of noise. Jacob was not having that. Not that Amber & I were enjoying it. So we hurried up & ate & went next door to where else? Chik-Fil-A. We got the kids ice cream, just so we could use the quiet playground. Although Ryan can't seem to remember that he doesn't like to go down the tube slides, so he ends up crawling up, crying, & Luke has to help him back down. On Friday, I had to go up that stupid, 2 ft tall, back & forth step thing, almost to the top, to get Ryan back down. I hate those things. Anyway, Luke told me later that he wanted some more of that ice cream. He said it was, "delectable & delicious". I kid you not.

So we're back to normal, well as close to normal as we can get around here. Everybody's out of school, so we're keeping busy doing random things. We picked up Amber & Sofia & met Candice & her girls at the mall today. I'll tell you what, it's definitely an adventure when you take 6 kids ages 2-7 to the mall. We had a good time though. We bought a dozen M&M cookies to keep everyone happy, but hey, whatever works, right? We're driving to Houston tomorrow for Thanksgiving, so that should be a nice change of pace. I'm looking forward to getting out of here for a few days. Ok, so off to J's swimming lessons! ttfn!
