well i caught up with Jacob, & have to find more stuff to write about. don't worry, i'll keep you all updated with Jacob too. i have a friend who told me she gets mad when i don't post for a while, lol. he went to Scottish Rite this week & his leg is looking good. we go back in Feb & they'll check it then. if it's tightened back up by then, we'll do Botox again. this is all to try to avoid surgery. they also gave him a new hand brace, & put some cushion on his foot brace. it was rubbing callouses (sp?) on the inside of his foot. we're also changing up his med this week. it wasn't getting him through the afternoon. we tried a new one yesterday & he told his spec ed teacher, "my mom gave me a new medicine, but it isn't working. it's making me not do good work, it's making me silly." he's really starting to understand himself some more. at SR, they asked him to wiggle his right foot, & he said, "i can't, it's like this arm" pointing to his right. sweet, sweet, boy.
so, i haven't written anything about politics................... well, i still won't. except to say, this circus of an election is over, our new president has his hands full, & it would be nice if everyone found something else to discuss.
so anyway, this morning i was wearing my new Scottish Rite t-shirt i bought on tues. Jacob looked at it while i was getting him dressed for school & said, "wouldn't that be funny if instead of Scottish Rite, it was Scottish left??" & just cracked up... he is such a funny dude.
last night on the way to Luke's baseball practice, Luke asked if we could listen to "Jacob's song" which is "We Will Rock You" by Queen. they know i have it on my ipod. so i put it on & turned the sound to the back of the suburb. a little ways into the song, i realize that Ryan is singing along. "weeee, weeeee, rock you!" sooo cute.
Luke was trying to explain to me last night about this "stuff, that was like pasta. well it is pasta, but different colors. not a lot of colors, like your cup & Jacob's cup. not red, or green, but brown. you know what i'm talkin bout, right?" all the while he's got that head bob, back & forth thing going, as well as his facial expressions. i played along, "ohhh, ya, that stuff." I had no idea what he was talking about.............
obviously, the pics above are from Halloween. i apologize for my "Village People" 4 yr old. i didn't realize the costume was small on him until it was too late. Ryan was Robin, but Halloween night, i couldn't find his costume, so i assumed it got left at school. so we put Jacob's old jester costume on him, which i think was just tooooo cute! not that my little Robin wasn't as well....
